Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and processed entirely inside your browser, on your device. It is never sent to a server and we keep no copy of it. You can check for yourself: once the page has loaded, the tool keeps working even if you go offline.
Is there a limit on file size or page count?
There is no fixed limit, because nothing is uploaded. The real limit is your device’s memory: a computer easily handles books of several hundred pages, while a phone may struggle with very large files (roughly over 100 MB). If the tool stalls on your phone, try a computer.
What is the difference between “Arabic” and “English” direction?
The direction sets which side the book is bound on. An Arabic book opens from the right with its spine on the right; an English book opens from the left. Choose based on the language of the book itself, not the language of this site. The wrong choice makes the pages come out in reverse order after folding.
Why were blank pages added?
Each folded sheet carries four pages, so the page count has to be a multiple of four. The tool fills the gap with blank pages at the end of the book. For example, 13 pages become 16, with 3 blank. If you want a blank page somewhere else (after the cover, say), add it to the PDF before using the tool.
Does the content of my pages change?
No. Pages are placed as they are. If you choose a specific paper size (such as A4), both pages are scaled by the same amount to fit the sheet, with no cropping or stretching. If you turn on numbering or the signature, only a small number or a short line is added at the bottom of the page.
The tool won’t open my file. Why?
Most likely the file is password-protected or damaged. Remove the protection first (for example by opening the file and printing it to a new PDF), then try again.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free, and no account is needed.
