How it works

The tool rearranges the pages of a PDF onto sheets that you print on both sides and fold down the middle, so you end up with a booklet whose pages are in the right order. Each sheet carries four pages: two on each side.

Step by step

  1. Upload your PDF

Choose the file or drag it onto the tool. It is opened inside your browser only and is never sent to a server.

  2. Choose the book direction

“English” for books that open from the left, “Arabic” for books that open from the right. The wrong choice reverses the page order after folding.

  3. Set the options

Paper size, continuous page numbers if you want them, and signatures for thick books. The preview shows where every page lands on every sheet before you download.

  4. Choose how you print and download

If your printer prints on both sides you get one file. If not, choose “One side at a time” and you get two files: front sides, then back sides.

  5. Print, fold and staple

Print double-sided with flip on short edge at 100% scale, then fold the sheets together down the middle and staple on the fold. Details in the printing guide.

How the pages land on the sheets

Example: an 8-page English book needs two sheets. The first sheet carries the cover (page 1) and the last page on its front, and pages 2 and 7 on its back. The second sheet carries the four middle pages.

After printing, put the second sheet inside the first and fold them together: the pages read 1 to 8 in order. The dashed line is the fold.

Because each sheet carries four pages, the page count is rounded up to a multiple of four and blank pages are added at the end of the book. For example, a 13-page file becomes 16 pages on 4 sheets, with 3 blank pages at the end.
